Township Tour

Hey, I am having a presentation of my trip at Manenberg High School on Wed 18th February @ 11.30am therafter I shal be arranging a session at Bonteheuwel High school during March. Bonteheuwel celebrates 50yrs of existance and it is quiet ironic that I was only 6yrs old when they started forcefully moving people from areas like District Six, Goodwood, Vasco, Newlands, Harfield Village, Lansdowne, Claremont, Mowbray, Kirstenbosch, etc. I hope that Bonteheuwel residents will have some commemeration activity in lieu of this anniversary. I will be talking about it at my session there. I have not set a date yet but hope to finalize same soon, will keep you posted.

I am home

I have promised myself to update the blogg for close onto a month now but just did not get to it. I have tried on two or three occasions to load some pictures but my 50odd years I suppose wont allow me to understand how this things work. Anyway I now have to put a presentation together to present to schools as I promised. I have already spoken to the principal at Manenberg High who has shown interest I also hope to go to my old stomping grounds 'Bontas' to go and do my bit there with anyone willing to listen. So for now this trip may make me a travelling motivational speaker who knows. Till next time Cecil D
